| 4. The marriage license |
|
| The marriage license may be obtained from the Clerk of Court at any county courthouse in the state of Minnesota. The Blue Earth County Courthouse is located at 410 S. 5th Street, Mankato. Both parties to the marriage must be of legal age or have parental consent. If either party has been previously married, he or she must know the date of dissolution. Please bring the license to the church office at least one week prior to the marriage so that it may be properly and neatly completed. (Some couples include the signing of the license within the wedding ceremony.) Contact the courthouse for current fees and legal requirements. Here's a link to the

copy of the marriage license application, find directions, and obtain

| 5. Christ the King Lutheran Church building policies |

A NO SMOKING policy is in effect at all times throughout the entire church property, including
the
courtyard. Please inform your guests. |
|

Alcoholic beverages are
NOT PERMITTED on church property. This includes the parking lots, lawns, and courtyard in addition to the building. |
|

Bird seed, not rice, may be used, but only outside the church building, following the ceremony. Please use small amounts of bird seed. Small containers of
bubbles are also permitted. |

All seasonal church decorations must remain in place. |
|
* |
The sound system will be operated by Christ the King staff
only. |

FEES |

| Wedding fee |
|
|
Member: $200.00
Non-member: $400.00 |
|
| This fee includes a reservation deposit, custodial fee, PREPARE
fee, and other expenses the church incurs providing facility and staff for the wedding. |
|
| All music fees will be charged by and can be discussed with the church organist/pianist. The normal fee for a wedding is $125.00 |
|
| Pastor |
|
| It is the policy of the pastors of Christ the King Lutheran Church not to accept honoraria for weddings and other pastoral acts conducted in the church. |
|
| Wedding Coordinator |
|
| Our coordinator is a volunteer who provides a ministry to wedding couples without charge. You are welcome to offer an expression of appreciation, but none is expected. |
|
| If additional rooms are needed (such as using space for a
groom's dinner or bridal shower) each room will cost an additional $25.00.
Call the church office to reserve a room. |
|
| If you wish to have a reception at Christ the King, the
cost is an additional $350.00 (custodial fee and rental included) for the
use of our Community Room and kitchen. Other room usage may be discussed. |
