Confirming Lutheran Understanding & Beliefs

CLUB 9 – Our ninth grade youth start the educational season in the fall with the same large/small group theme format as CLUB 78. Following the Christmas break, CLUB 9 meets separately and focuses on the promises of the affirmation of baptism ritual. They delve deeply into the meaning of the promises they will be making as they approach the spring ritual of confirmation.  Please click on the link at the bottom of this page to view the CLUB handbook and calendar of events for 2009-2010.

Affirmation of Baptism

Following our rich Lutheran heritage, CTK sets aside three years of special religious training (CLUB 78, CLUB 9) that is intended to lead a young Christian to be able to affirm their desire to live in a relationship with God, established at baptism. At the end of their confirmation experience, they take adult responsibility for their own faith journey.
The first Sunday in May, the confirmands will celebrate their Affirmation of Baptism as they say ‘yes’ to living in the promises God made with them at their baptism. 

Sunday Morning Breakfast Club (Grades 9-12)

Meets in the Youth Room from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. each Sunday morning - breakfast served - good faith discussion!

Wednesday Senior High Club (Grades 9-12)

This group meets for 55 minutes each Wednesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Youth Room.  We'll discuss difficult questions arising from current affairs, pray, share, and act!

Library

One of the richest resources of information and inspiration can be found in the CTK library. Young and old can find fiction and non-fiction to fill their hearts and inform their minds. Check out and take home, or sit and browse, this is the place to grow in God’s ways.
