Elementary Grades 1-6

 JAM: Grades 1-6
Sunday mornings (1 hour from 9:30 to 10:30) September through mid-May
JAM is a workshop rotation model learning opportunity with creative, kid-pleasing learning environments called workshops that teach Bible stories. With a primary purpose to promote Bible literacy, classes rotate to a new workshop each week for 4-5 weeks – the rotation period. During the rotation, only one Bible story is taught with each week providing a different focus on learning that story. Facilitators, (teachers) stay in the same workshop teaching the same lesson to a new age group each week. A Shepherd remains with the students throughout the rotation, gathering them each week prior to the workshop.

Kids Klub: Grades 1-6

Wednesday evenings (one hour from 6:30 to 7:30) September through early in May

Kids Klub is an educational aspect that provides children the opportunity to explore some of the building blocks of faith through music and interactive learning in a Bible camp format. Kids Klub follows the CLUB lessons and themes each week, so families who participate have the opportunity to share their faith and to learn together.

Bible Sunday

One Sunday in September, all children in third grade are presented the NIrV Discoverer’s Bible as a gift from Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Family Faith Labs

Bible Faith Lab : The Faith Lab offers 3rd grade children instruction on Bible use and a brief storyline of the Old and New Testaments. Bibles are used every week in JAM and Kids Klub, so this instruction helps children become better acquainted with their Bibles, making them more enjoyable to read and use. The Bible Faith Lab is approximately one hour long on Bible Sunday in September.

First Communion Faith Lab: Instruction into the sacrament of Holy Communion is offered twice during the education year, once in the fall and again in the spring. Children are instructed in the meaning of the sacrament, but also make their own chalice and bake the bread which they utilize at their first communion.

Vacation Bible School

For one week each summer, CTK provides Vacation Bible School and Day Camp for children 3 years old through 6th grade. Dates vary each year, but the five days of fun and adventure into hearing, learning and sharing God’s Word kicks-off with a family picnic. Watch for details in the King’s Messenger and this website for dates and times.

Library

One of the richest resources of information and inspiration can be found in the CTK library. Young and old can find fiction and non-fiction to fill their hearts and inform their minds. Check out and take home, or sit and browse, this is the place to grow in God’s ways.
