First Communion Faith Lab

First communion class if offered in both the fall and spring. At Christ the King, first communion is a choice for parents as to when their child is ready to receive this sacrament, however we encourage children to receive at 5th grade. At the class, children will bake the bread and paint their own chalice, both of which will be used at their first communion. They will also learn the what, where, why, when and how of the Lord’s Supper. At least one parent must attend the class with their child. Registration is open for Fall and Spring. Please choose an option below.

Fall 2017 - Class on October 15 / First Communion on November 22

Spring 2018 - Class on February 25 / First Communion on March 29

Fall Schedule and Youth Education

Mark your calendars! Summer is winding down and Fall activities are just around the corner. Wednesday night community supper and worship will return on Wednesday, September 13th. Kids Klub and CLUB will begin the following week. JAM will begin on Sundays beginning on September 17th. Registration for youth education will be available by September 1st.

JAM

Sunday mornings: 9:15-10:15am

The Workshop Rotation model is used for JAM, and children focus on five rotations per year. During each rotation, children rotate to a different, creative, kid-pleasing workshop each week of the rotation. The entire rotation – every workshop, every week – is focused on learning one important Bible story or lesson. Each workshop is implemented with different learning styles to promote Bible literacy. Each rotation culminates in a Faith in Motion worship service that is geared toward children and their families.

JAM
Kids Klub

O my people, hear my teaching, listen to the words of my mouth.  We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done.  …which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them…and they in turn would tell their children.  ~ Psalm 78:1-6
